In Korea for another…um…7 hours
1 hour which will be spent in a taxi and 3 more hours which will be spent in the airport.
So that leaves me with 3 hours and nothing really to do. I guess i could sleep, but I’m way too tired to sleep. You know…when you get past the sleeping point in your tiredness meter.
I just walked around Gangnam district in Seoul and totally stumbled upon the clubbing area and night market on accident. It’s kind of intimidating and hard to explore when you don’t speak a lick of Korean. It was definitely an interesting sight to see. The nightlife here is pretty intense. Things are open super late even on the weekdays and there are large numbers of people clubbing, drinking, and puking way into the early AMs.
I’ll write more when I return to the states. I still need to take a shower, pack, and maybe lie down for a little bit before heading out. On a sidenote, by “pack” I mean throw everything into my suitcase because there is too much room in there anyway, since I brought a larger suitcase in case any of our work suitcases were too overweight.
All in all
Had a pretty smooth business trip
Met up with Joyce whom I hadn’t seen in 2 yrs and ate at her great aunt’s restaurant which was coincidentally a 10 min walk from my hotel.
Ate lots of Korean food, and noticed that my spicy food tolerance has improved a great deal
Realized that boba doesnt exist in Korea, just frozen yogurt and shaved ice.
Kind of enjoyed walking by people and not understanding their conversations.
Coffee in Korea tastes better than coffee in the United States.
Traveling makes me want to live abroad.
to be continued!
