I picked up one of these while I was in Shanghai for about $4, and it was one of the best investments that I have made in awhile on a functional gadget. Perfect for taking pictures in places where you:
1) Can’t speak the language
2) Don’t want to trust another person to take your picture
3) Can’t find another person for miles, this little dude gets the job done.
I recently snapped a picture of me and my parents by a waterfall in Taiwan, by simply wrapping the legs around the top of a bench while we were high up on the bridge with not many people around. Another huge PRO is that the design allows you to angle your camera at nearly any angle you want to shoot at, which may also mean that you can get those tall buildings in your shot by angling the camera upwards from the ground. The white band around each ball is a rubber grip that prevents slipping and ensures a pretty solid grasp on most things.
