Last Minute DC sightseeing

Thursday was our last day to explore the DC area because we were flying out right after work on Friday.

We hopped on the metro at 6:15pm in Bethesda and made it down to the National Mall area around 6:45pm, so we had about 45 minutes to get into the Air and Space Museum, which was highly recommended by our study participants, and take a look around.

wouldn't you have loved to fly first class with American in the old days?

discussing some important matters--probably about how I can tan my white legs.

After we were shooed out of the National Air and Space Museum as it closed, we trekked a little further towards Capitol Hill. We were too tired to walk to the other side, so we stopped here. It was gorgeous nonetheless.

We checked off most of the big things that we wanted to see during our short stint in the DC metro area. Next time, I’m definitely going to try to check out the Supreme Court, U.S. Mint, National Natural History Museum, Baltimore Aquarium (they have belugas there!), Vietnam War Memorial, Korean War Memorial, and all of the other hundreds of things there are to do.
